PROJECT 1 - COLLECTION, 3dsMax CONCEPT, REFLECTION

CONCEPT

Reflection

Zaha Hadid was born in Iraq in 1950, a time when Modernism connoted glamor and progressive thinking in the Middle East, and was raised in one of Baghdad's first Bauhaus-inspired houses. Hadid was actually a London-based Architectural Designer, whose work encompasses all fields of design, ranging from urban scale through to products, interiors and furniture. She became the first woman who receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Her design is for the powerful, curving forms of her elongated structures. In my point of view, Hadid's design are trans formative cultural, multiple perspective point, renaissance, melodramatic and fragmented geometry.

For this project, i choose the Regium Waterfront building by Zaha Hadid.  This was the latest project in Italy, in the Mediterranean city of Reggio Calabria. It draws an inspiration of an organic shape of starfish. This building was really exploring the idea of culture and public life. Besides, i was trying to combine this Regium Waterfront building concept with one of my favorite Hadid's project, JS Bach Chamber music hall. This project draws an undulating surface of the fabric shell in a “constant yet changing rhythm” creates a “soft billowing effect”. Of these, i was trying to make concept model by 3dsMax, based on those two ideas.
